In a significant move, TDK Corporation has teamed up with GDC-IIT Madras to unveil the TIIC Accelerator Program 2024, a groundbreaking initiative designed to drive innovation in Healthcare Technology and Diagnostics within India’s STEM research and startup ecosystem. This strategic collaboration, formally initiated with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on May 10th, underscores TDK’s deep commitment to fostering and amplifying the talents of Indian researchers and startups in shaping the future of health technologies.

The TIIC Accelerator Program 2024 is designed to address the distinct challenges and opportunities presented by the Indian healthcare technology sector. This initiative is poised to transform the way healthcare solutions are developed and delivered, reflecting a deep commitment to enhancing both the technological and practical aspects of healthcare innovation in India.

Mr. Michael Pocsatko, Senior Vice President of TDK, highlighted the transformative potential of this partnership, noting its alignment with India’s broader economic and societal goals. He stated, “This collaboration is an essential step in supporting India’s ambitions for growth and innovation in the healthcare sector.”

Prof. Krishnan Balasubramanian, Institute Professor and Faculty-in-Charge of the Gopalakrishnan-Deshpande Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at IIT Madras, shared his enthusiasm for the program, emphasizing the complementary strengths of TDK and GDC. “The synergy between TDK’s technical expertise and GDC’s entrepreneurial development resources is set to empower Indian startups to bring cutting-edge healthcare solutions to the market,” Prof. Balasubramanian remarked.

The TIIC Accelerator Program 2024 is currently inviting applications from Indian STEM researchers and startups, particularly those who have not yet secured external funding.
